Curious about what to expect for an equine bodywork session? Get a glimpse into what a session looks like for your horse.
We begin each session by reviewing your horse’s overall history, concerns, and goals. If this is your horse’s first session, we will dive into an even more in-depth discussion and initial observation.
We will then move onto the static and dynamic observation portion of the session. I will observe your horse at rest and in motion to help identify and pinpoint any areas of concern, tension, asymmetry, etc. This conformation and gait analysis will help you better understand your horse and the way they move.
On average, Brittany will typically spend between 60-90 minutes focusing on the areas of concern that were identified during the static & dynamic observation. The modalities that will be utilized during each session include: Sports Massage, Soft Tissue Mobilization, Myofascial Release, Focal Point Work (Stress & Trigger Points), Stretching, and Range of Motion & Positioning Exercises.
Brittany will demonstrate basic techniques (stretches and/or massage strokes) for you to do on your own. This will help maintain your horse between sessions.
After each session, Brittany will email you an extensive session report. This report will go over what was done, how the horse reacted, where the horse held tension, levels of sensitivity, and a plan moving forward.
Feedback is everything to an equine bodyworker! We love to hear how your horse is feeling after a session. Please feel free to update us on how your horse is doing and ask any questions or concerns that come up, you are never bothering us!

We begin each session by reviewing your horse’s overall history, concerns, and goals. If this is your horse’s first session, we will dive into an even more in-depth discussion and initial observation.
You get to choose the length of your session, the attachments used, and the areas focused on during your personalized PEMF session. If you aren’t sure where to begin, don’t worry, Brittany will scan the horse and create a recommended maintenance plan customized for your horse’s individual needs.
Session length is flexible. You can choose 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour. Interested in a different length of time? Let’s talk about it!
GSE has invested in all of the best attachments that can be used for a variety of different purposes: XL Wave Wings (this allows us to work on both sides of the horse at once), Large Loop, Butterfly Loop (Great for joints), Zoom Paddle (The most concentrated signal. Great for focusing on specific areas of concern), and the Energy Mat (the horse puts both of their feet on this at once. The signal reaches both the feet and legs).
Brittany will discuss an individualized recommended maintenance plan for your horse moving forward. If applicable, Brittany will demonstrate stretches or recommend exercises that your horse may benefit from based on the findings during their session. This will help maintain your horse between sessions.
After each session, Brittany will email you an extensive session report. This report will go over what was done, how the horse reacted, where the horse held tension, levels of sensitivity, a plan moving forward, and will include visuals.
